Alternative dance outfit Delphic have unveiled their brand new single ‘Good Life’, the first single to be taken from their forthcoming, currently untitled new album.
Produced by Ben Allen (Bombay Bicycle Club, Washed Out) and Tim Goldsworthy (Massive Attack, LCD Soundsystem), ‘Good Life’ fuses elements of electronica, hip hop and house to create a distinctive and unique soundscape. The track has been selected by the London 2012 committee as one of the official tracks for the games, alongside The Chemical Brothers, Muse and Dizzee Rascal.
Formed in 2009, the three piece from Manchester (Richard Boardman, Matt Cocksedge, and James Cook) garnered widespread critical acclaim and a loyal live following in the wake of the release of debut album ‘Acolyte’, which featured the tracks ‘Doubt’ and ‘Halcyon’. The band were also runners up in the BRITs Critic Choice Award and 3rd in the BBC Sound of 2010 Poll - rather enviable achievements for such a young band.
