Tickets for The Stone Roses anticipated Scottish return sold out within one hour this morning, as fans secured their place to see the iconic Madchester group perform at Glasgow Green on Saturday 15th June 2013.
All 50,000 tickets for the show, which has been dubbed as a recreation of the band's famous 1990 concert, were snapped-up after on sales began at 9.30am this morning.
Speaking about the famous 1990 concert, a performance many fans consider the band's best, biographer John Robb comments: “The show was a killer – it was blistering and it was loud.”
The Stone Roses, who released only two studio albums during their career before disbanding in 1996, will return to Glasgow with support from Primal Scream, Jake Bugg and The View.
Tickets for the Glasgow show have sold out, however, the band have announced via Twitter that there are still tickets left for their June 7th show at Finsbury Park in London. Their June 8th London date has also sold out.
