Nina Nesbitt has this afternoon announced two brand new live dates for March 2013. The scheduled dates at London's Islington Assembly Rooms and Edinburgh's Liquid Rooms will be the singer-songwriter's only headline gigs before the release of her debut album, which is due in Spring 2013.
Last year Nina Nesbitt was just 16 years old when she began performing intimate shows across Edinburgh and Manchester and, with a budding interest in filmmaking, posted a selection of her own songs and some beautifully conceived cover versions on YouTube. The response she received was overwhelming. It kick started a roller coaster year for the half Scottish, half Swedish singer-songwriter that culminated with her self-released EP ‘The Apple Tree’ going straight to Number 6 on the iTunes download chart and Number 1 on the singer-songwriter chart in April.
Since then Nina’s YouTube channel has had over a million views to date, she has played her first headline UK tour, enjoyed playlist support from Radio 1 after being chosen as Fearne Cotton’s ‘Big Thing’/‘Record of the Week’, signed publishing and record deals and performed sessions for BBC Introducing, including a recent headline slot on their stage at T in the Park.
