2000trees Makes Superb First Line-Up Announcement

Our favourite British festival, the wonderful 2000trees, has released its Thursday night early entry line-up today to a sea of excited gasps. Bringing together some of the finest acts in the country for a weekend of top draw music, food and drink (including the ever delightful Badger’s Bottom cider), the Gloucestershire based event is set for another sell out year in 2013.

Thursday night already looks unmissable. The finest purveyors of noise rock in the land, Future of the Left, will headline, fresh from their victory in the 2012 Welsh Music Prize for their Stereoboard acclaimed album, 'The Plot against Common Sense'. One of the most incendiary live bands on the circuit, their addition to the Thursday night bill means that those in attendance will be guaranteed a perfect start to the festival.

Joining Future of the Left will be future arena titans The Xcerts, electro mathsters Gallops, riff wielders Max Raptor, local supergroup Emp!re and, erm, less local supergroup Freeze the Atlantic. These are acts considered amongst the favourites of the organisers and have all been heavily requested by fans on the festival’s Facebook page. Founder Andy Rea is sure that “Thursday night will be one to remember” and looking at the quality on offer he is certainly not wrong.

Over half the early entry tickets have already gone so if you want to join us in screaming “To Hell with Good Intentions” back at Andy Falkous in The Cave on Thursday night you are advised to get your tickets soon. Likewise the festival has sold out in each of the last three years so you are advised to get your tickets soon even if you are somehow not enticed by the astonishing Thursday night line-up.
