Swedish riff gods Grand Magus are back in the UK right now, unleashing their brand of epic doom and extreme metal to the masses on a 10-date tour. Stereoboard were at Bogiez, Cardiff, to capture all the action on stage.
After last summer's celebrated release of sixth studio album, 'The Hunt', their Nuclear Blast debut, and a storming set at Bloodstock Festival, Grand Magus were performing to a near, if not completely, sold out crowd.
With fists in the air, the metal purists delivered a set drawn from the grooves of their early days through to the power metal featured on latest offering 'The Hunt' - considering they're only a trio, the sound is MASSIVE.
Armed with a Gibson Flying V, vocalist JB's impressive roars alongside the the thundering bass and drums of Fox and Trisse, makes for comparisons to Judas Priest, Soundgarden and Kyuss. Tackling each song as if it were a life-threatening battle, the whole gig can be summed-up in a word. Epic.
The battle continues tonight in Wolverhampton, if you're thinking about it, do yourself a great favour and be there.
