You can bet your life, Motorhead are not a band that will rest on their laurels. Ever. Another year and another nod of Lemmy's cowboy hat indicates that another new album is on the way.
Details of the new studio album, the follow-up to 2010's 'The World Is Yours', surfaced in August last year when Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee told Artisan News: “We’re going to finish our studio album. We have a lot of songs done already. We’re going to keep writing and recording … It’ll come out next year.”
So that means 2013 will see an all new studio offering from Lemmy and Co., due sometime later this year. Check back to Stereoboard for more news on Motorhead's new studio album soon!
Motorhead released their most recent live record ‘The World Is Ours Vol. 2: Anyplace Crazy As Anywhere Else‘ in October last year. The record is the second instalment of a two-part live album capturing Motorhead on tour promoting the release of 'The World Is Yours'. The first instalment, 'The World Is Ours Vol. 1: Everything Further Than Everyplace Else', was released in 2011.
