The first acts to feature on the 2013 Festival No.6 line-up have been announced, with Manic Street Preachers confirmed as a UK festival exclusive.
Welsh rock royalty Manic Street Preachers will play their only UK festival of the year when they headline the second Festival No.6, which takes place at the idyllic Portmerion in Wales. The music, arts and culture festival, which won two awards for their debut 2012 event, one for 'Best New Festival' at the UK Festival Awards and one for 'Best Small Festival' at the NME Awards last month, runs over the weekend of 13th to 15th September 2013.
Speaking about the forthcoming show, the Manics said: "Festival No.6 is the only thing that could break our self-enforced two year British gig ban. To be able to play in Sir Clough Williams-Ellis’ iconic village is something of a dream for us. See you in September."
Joining the Manics, who return to the live stage after a two-year break, will be James Blake, Everything Everything, I Am Kloot, Clinic, Caitlin Rose, Alunageorge and Laura Mvula, amongst many others. The festival also features talks, book readings, film screenings and stand-up comedy performances. For a list of acts announced so far, head to www.festivalnumber6.com.
