The Proclaimers have been confirmed as the first Scottish based act to perform at Glasgow's Hydro. Glasvegas, Roddy Hart and the Lonesome Fire are also on the bill.
Speaking about the booking, Craig and Charlie said: “We are very honoured to be asked to play in the first month of The Hydro’s opening and are looking forward to it immensely. Its fantastic to have Glasvegas along with Roddy Hart and the Lonesome Fire also performing to make it a really special evening.”
With a busy summer on the road lined-up, this new show will cap what looks to be another great year for The Proclaimers. Their Hydro performance will also mark their only headline concert in Scotland this year and their final show before they prepare for a 2015 world tour.
The Hydro will be the first purpose built concert venue of its scale especially designed for concerts. The venue includes 5 food outlets, 9 bars and 2 multi purpose lounges and will be open on the night from 6pm with the show starting at 7pm.
