Manchester rocker Noel Gallagher has 42 songs written for his new album - despite claiming that he’d love to take a 10-year break from music!
The ex-Oasis star enjoyed massive success with his first solo album alongside the High Flying Birds, and is now hard at work on what will be the second. He’s so hard at work, in fact, he’s managed to pen almost 50 tracks - and his wife still won’t let him take a break!
Speaking to The Daily Star, Gallagher revealed: I can easily see me taking ten years off - I'd do it now if the missus would let me. I'd do absolutely nothing if I could get away with it, as I'm brilliant at that. I wouldn't bother getting any hobbies either - unless drinking tea and smoking qualify as hobbies. That's all I'd do. And maybe watch telly all day, if that wasn't too much effort. I love Match of the Day 2 - that's my favourite show.”
Gallagher does admit that making music is his hobby, and that he’s lucky he makes money from doing it.
”Writing songs is my real hobby and I'm lucky enough to have made a career out of it,” he told the paper.
We’re not sure when Gallagher’s next album will be ready for public viewing, but we don’t think it’ll be TOO long before we see at least a snippet from it. Are you excited for more Noel Gallagher music? Let us know in the comment section below.
