Radiohead star Thom Yorke has claimed that if anyone describes his new band Atoms for Peace a ‘supergroup’, he’ll ‘knock their fucking teeth out’!
The experimental rock project feature Yorke alongside Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, former Beck and R.E.M drummer Joey Waronker, and Brazilian percussionist Mauro Refosco - but Yorke insists that the band is totally not a supergroup, and he may get violent if anyone wants to try and tell him it is!
“If anyone ever says it to my face, I'm going to fucking knock their teeth out.”
Yorke was in a rather funny mood during the interview, and even went on to make a sly dig at Bruno Mars - who pipped the band’s debut album ‘Amok’ to #1 in the US.
“Who the fuck is Bruno Mars? Sorry. I'll get slandered now.”
