Outlook Festival Organisers Add New Names To Opening Party Bill

Friday, 07 June 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

This year’s Outlook Festival in Croatia is shaping up to be one of the biggest events of the summer, and now, even it’s opening concert is looking like it’ll be a massive affair - as organisers have added some wicked names to the line-up.

Taking place inside a 2000 year-old Amphitheatre (yes, you read correctly!) in Pula on Wednesday 28th August - the day before the festival kicks off - fans will be treated to a live performance from none other than The Original Wailers.

That’s right - the group led by Al Anderson, best known for his work alongside reggae legend Bob Marley, will be kicking off Outlook Festival in style, from an amazing location not far from the beaches where you’ll be spending the following four days having the time of your life.

We imagine a lot of you are sold already, but when you check out the new names that have been added to the bill, you’ll be frothing at the mouth - just announced is American hip-hop pioneer, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, and crossfader-inventor Grandmaster Flash, who’ll be spinning an original block party set.

Another hip-hop legend and turntablist extraordinaire J Rocc - founding member of Beat Junkies - will also be performing, while Trojan Sound System selector Earl Gateshead joins the bill too, lined-up for a classic sound system riddims set.

Outlook Festival organisers always spoil you with a second-to-none line-up every year, and 2013 is no different. But this time, they’ve really pulled out all the stops, and even the opening party looks too good to miss.
