Monday, 10 June 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Swn HQ have announced the first wave of acts that will be playing at the 7th annual Sŵn Festival. The NME Awards nominated 4-day multi-venue new music festival will be held this year between Thursday 17 and Sunday 20 October 2013.

As previously announced, this year’s Friday headliner at Cardiff University Students' Union's Solus will be Deerhunter, which will be the band’s first ever show in Wales.

Swn have also teamed up with Metropolis Music to offer a few lucky Swn Festival-goers the chance to boost their Thursday Swn experience with a £2 Top-Up Ticket to see Everything Everything at Cardiff University’s Great Hall, as part of their October headline UK Tour.

Swn Presents welcomed Everything Everything to a packed out show at The Globe, Cardiff in January 2012. Organisers are really pleased to be able to offer Swnsters a chance to catch the Manchester-based 4 piece on the Thursday night of Swn Festival, for a Top-Up price of only £2 (available via swnpresents.com only; numbers are strictly limited). Tour support comes in the form of Dutch Uncles, who also played a Swn Presents show in February 2013 at Cardiff’s Moon Club.
