Bloodstock Festival and Hobgoblin Beer have announced they’ve found their winning band! The two companies banded together to run an exclusive competition on special Bloodstock-branded Hobgoblin beer bottles to win a slot on the bill at the festival! Online submissions have been rolling in from around the globe, with fans voting for their favourite to bag the coveted spot on the festival line-up and the lucky winners are London’s metal ragers, Skreamer. Check them out for yourself, as video entries are still online to view at wychwood.co.uk.
Hertfordshire bruisers Skreamer emphatically state, "Hobgoblin not only make great beer, but demand quality in anything they are involved in, and boy have they picked a winner with Bloodstock. We are privileged to have been given this slot there, and thank all the team at Bloodstock and the sponsors Hobgoblin for their faith in us!”
The "Metal 2 The Masses'’ road show is also currently in full effect, with the first batch of unsigned winners ready to be announced as additions to the festival line-up. The competitive club gigs have already happened in Kent, East Anglia, Reading, Bedfordshire and London, as well as an international date in Norway, and the tour continues today Thursday 4 July in Manchester and onward round the country until the beginning of August. So the competition isn’t over yet!
Winning acts so far include Hertfordshire’s melodic metallers Second Rate Angels, extreme/death outfit Neon Halo from Kent, cross-genre riffers Nocturna, Norwegian metalheads Shoel Afterlife, London groove metallers One For Sorrow, Reading’s Black Emerald, Norfolk heavyweights Eridium, and Bedfordshire rockers Scar City.
