Lea Michele - the Glee star who was dating the late Cory Monteith - has released a new statement following his death.
Michele was Monteith’s co-star on the mega-hit series (she played Rachel Berry), and was also romantically involved with him. Monteith was tragically found dead in his Vancouver hotel room last Saturday, having overdosed on heroin and alcohol. Check out our coverage of the news here.
Now, Michele’s representative has released a fresh statement following his passing, asking the media to continue to respect the privacy of her and Monteith’s family, with whom she is currently grieving. The statement - released to People - reads:
“Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she's received from family, friends, and fans. Since Cory's passing, Lea has been grieving alongside his family and making appropriate arrangements with them. They are supporting each other as they endure this profound loss together. We continue to ask the media to respect the privacy of Lea and Cory's family.”
The statement follows a previous statement, which simply asked the public to ‘kindly respect Lea's privacy during this devastating time’. What do you think of the news? We at Stereoboard send our condolences to Monteith’s close friends and family.
