Attendees of this year’s Secret Garden Party have been warned about the dangers of drugs and legal highs, following the recent death of a local homeless couple in what’s believed to be a drug-related incident.
The BBC reports that the festival’s organisers are on full alert and are taking a ‘zero tolerance’ stance on drugs. The homeless couple may have died after taking an 'ecstasy substitute'.
A police spokesperson told the site:
“On occasions these substances can be as strong, if not stronger, than the substance they are trying to imitate.”
The Secret Garden Party is being held in Abbots Ripton, and is expected to attract around 30,000 people when it kicks off today. If you’d like to be one of them, check the link below to find tickets through Stereoboard!
