The organisers of Green Man Festival have announced plans to bring Hwyl - a ‘unique St David’s Day celebration’ - to London in March.
Hwyl will take over Camden’s Cecil Sharp House on March 1 and will feature sets from 9 Bach, Pictish Trail, Valleyers and the Gentle Good, while the BBC Radiophonic Workshop will be putting on a show as well.
Green Man chief Fiona Stewart said:
“We’ll be celebrating St David’s Day in style by bringing all of the mischief and magic of Green Man up the M4 to the legendary Cecil Sharp House for a unique, one-off Welsh knees-up. There’ll be a real festival feel to the day, combining Welsh arts and culinary delights with superb live music from some of Green Man’s closest friends.
“Just like the Green Man, 'Hwyl' will be packed full of Welsh culture, crafts and culinary delights, there will be talks, theatre, comedy, and lots more.”
