Coldplay will headline BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Glasgow on May 24.
Their set will follow the release of 'Ghost Stories', their sixth album, on May 19, while Pharrell Williams, Rita Ora, Paolo Nutini and the 1975 will also perform on Glasgow Green.
The band's drummer, Will Champion, said:
"We are absolutely thrilled to have been asked to play Radio 1's Big Weekend. Playing in Glasgow is always been so much fun and Radio 1 have always been wonderful to us so it couldn't really be any better!"
Coldplay will also play London's Royal Albert Hall on July 1 as one of six intimate shows to celebrate their new record, with the band also set to turn out at E-Werk in Cologne, New York's Beacon Theatre, Los Angeles' Royce Hall, Casino de Paris in Paris and Dome City Hall in Tokyo.
