EXCLUSIVE: Stream Broken Fires' Debut Album 'Silhouettes'

Broken Fires are an arresting sight: three guitars, keys, violin, rotating vocalists and a drummer who plays as though his kit has done him a personal hurt. At DimSŵn earlier this year, they sprawled across the floor of Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff, their rough-hewn alt-pop striking a balance between introspective and anthemic. The set was a particular highlight in a day packed with them.
Below we’re very excited to host an exclusive stream of the Swansea band’s debut LP, ‘Silhouettes’, which they will release through their own label, End of the Line Records, on May 18.
Recorded and mixed throughout 2014 in “kitchens, bedrooms, garages and living rooms”, the album encapsulates the rugged melodic charm of Gareth Carter, Tom Stephens and Justin Hendy’s writing and will light a fire under you to see them play. You can do just that at the Garage in Swansea on May 16, in Cardiff on May 29 and at Underbelly in Hoxton the following day.
