Elvis Costello, Angélique Kidjo and Gwenno have joined the line up for Cardiff’s Festival of Voice.
The bill, which already features Patti Smith, Billy Bragg and Nadine Shah, Gruff Rhys, Laura Veirs and Passenger, has also been bolstered by Susanne Sundfør, Tank and the Bangas, A Filetta, Every Song I've Ever Written, Reykjavíkurdætur, Camille O’Sullivan, Novo Amor, Atlantic Arc Orchestra and the Gentle Good.
Costello will close proceedings at the Millennium Centre on June 17, with Kidjo set to perform a reinterpretation of the classic Talking Heads album ‘Remain in Light’ at the same venue on June 9. Gwenno, meanwhile, will present a live electronic audiovisual performance celebrating the life and work of patchwork pioneer Edrica Huws.
