Villagers Shares His Bleeding Heart In Video For New Track Fool

Villagers has posted a video for Fool.
It is the latest track to be lifted from Conor O'Brien's new album, 'The Art Of Pretending To Swim', which is due out on September 21, with a UK tour set to follow in October.
The song sees O'Brien as lyrically candid as ever. “So here is my bleeding heart…will you take the pain away?”, he sings. Musically he continues with his well rounded brand of indie-folk. The video, meanwhile, was directed by Bob Gallagher, who also helmed the video for A Trick Of The Light. He said:
“The video is a surreal take on a marriage proposal, which is the ultimate gambit in love. The scenario pushes how much Conor's character is willing to overlook his partner's shortcomings, and convince himself that everything is fine. You could call it foolishness but you could also consider it a kind of optimism, striving to see the best in a situation.”
