Imelda May will celebrate the songs of Van Morrison, U2, Glen Hansard and more at a special BBC Radio 2 Friday Night Is Music Night concert at the London Palladium.
The Dublin-born vocalist will interpret music penned by Irish songwriters accompanied by the 24-piece Leo Green Orchestra for An Evening of Celtic Soul on May 6. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on March 20. She said:
"When Leo asked me to join him and the orchestra at the Palladium for a show celebrating my influences I was intrigued and the more I delved, the more I realised how many artists from Ireland have hugely influenced me and continue to inspire me. For such a small island we have a wealth of musical talent. That’s something I’m happy to celebrate."
May released her latest album, 'Life. Love. Flesh. Blood', in 2017.
