Khalid has shared a new track ahead of releasing 'Free Spirit' next week.
Produced by Hit-Boy, Self finds the 21-year-old addressing his struggle with self-reflection over a steady beat. "It’s gettin' hard for me to breathe, 'cause the man that I've been runnin' from is inside of me," he confesses during the song.
It follows the previously shared Disclosure-produced Talk, as well as My Bad and Better in previewing his sophomore album, which is out on April 5.
Two days before the album arrives, Khalid will release a companion film which you can catch in cinemas worldwide for 24 hours. The screening will also give fans the first opportunity to hear the full album.
