Kate Tempest has revealed details of her new album.
The rapper and poet will release ‘The Book Of Traps And Lessons’ on June 14 through Republic Records, her first since 2016’s ‘Let Them Eat Chaos’.
She will support the album by playing it in full at Catford’s Broadway Theatre on June 19. Tickets for the show go on sale at 10am on Friday May 3.
In addition, the London musician has unveiled the record’s first cut, Firesmoke. It’s a calming blend of muted electric piano chords with Tempest’s poetic bars. Usually known for spitting out lyrics at great speed, here it’s a more sedated affair, without losing any of her gritty bite.
Tempest has summer sets lined up at Glastonbury and All Points East, as well as at various other festivals across the UK and Europe.
