Liam Gallagher has released a video for his new single, Shockwave.
The track will appear on his second solo album, 'Why Me? Why Not.', which he has now confirmed will be released on September 20 through Warner Records.
Gallagher wrote the new record with producers Andrew Wyatt and Greg Kurstin. Explaining the reason for this, he said:
“I wrote some songs on my own for the last album, but this time it’s all co-writes. Reason being is I want it to be even better than ‘As You Were’. I know my strengths and I know my limitations. I’m an ok songwriter, but I’m a great singer and frontman. I want the second album to be a step-up because the hardest thing to do is to make something the same, only better. So that’s what we’ve done.”
The former Oasis frontman, who recently released his documentary film As It Was, has some big summer dates in the diary. He'll play Cork's Irish Independent Park and the Eden Project prior to his Glastonbury performance on June 29.
