Alcest have announced a new album.
‘Spiritual Instinct’ marks the sixth LP from the French metal duo, following 2016’s ‘Kodoma’. It will see a release on October 25 through Nuclear Blast.
To celebrate the announcement, the band have shared the record’s first cut, Protection, along with a desert island-inspired video by Craig Murray.
A dramatically slow paced, heavy guitar riff takes centre stage, accompanied by lengthy, screamed vocals, before the pace picks up with a catchy melody in the chorus, but then things calm down again towards the four-minute mark.
