Mötley Crüe are rumoured to announce a US stadium tour with Def Leppard and Poison.
Rolling Stone suggests that the band are to reform less than five years after playing their final ever show and famously signing a cessation of touring agreement, a legally binding document prohibiting them from performing live after December 31, 2015. In 2014, Nikki Sixx reportedly said backstage:
"The only loophole is if all four band members agreed to do it, we could override our own contract. But we know that will never happen. There are people in this band who will refuse to ever do it again, and you’re talking to one of them.
"There is no amount of money that would ever make me do it again because I have such pride in how we’re ending it."
Specific details, including dates and venues, are yet to be announced, but sources state the Los Angeles band will tear up the agreement for a summer stadium tour.
So far, there's been no official comment from the band about a reunion although a recent fan petition urging Crüe to reform was shared by the band via Twitter, fuelling speculation that a reunion might be on the way. The tweet was later removed.
UPDATE 19/11: Mötley Crüe have officially destroyed their cessation of touring contract. Watch the video posted by the band below.
