Hallelujah begins with a Bob Dylan style guitar sequence and involves three distinct verses from each of the California sisters, evoking memories of friends who have passed and the telepathic, protective relationship among siblings.
The song follows on from previous singles Summer Girl and Now I’m In It this year, both of which also tackled big themes. Alana Haim released a statement about the new track's inspiration that you can read in full below.
Haim’s last full-length offering was 2017’s 'Something To Tell You', and the trio also appear on upcoming star-studded album, 'Hanukkah+', alongside Jack Black, Yo La Tengo and the Flaming Lips.
