Hayley Williams has released the second track from her debut solo album.
Leave It Alone, following on from lead single Simmer, starts as a low-key pop song with the Paramore vocalist’s voice brought to the forefront of the neat, intimate mix, before shifting to include congas, keys and a subtle string arrangement.
Its accompanying video, directed by Warren Fu, is a surreal and other-worldly look into the story of a part-human being emerging from a chrysalis with some impressive costumes and special effects.
‘Petals For Armor’ is set to arrive on May 8 via Atlantic.
