Nile Rodgers and CHIC have announced a summer concert on the Yorkshire coast.
The iconic funk collective will return to Scarborough Open Air Theatre on August 21, with tickets for the show on general sale at 9am on March 13. Rodgers said:
"As most people know the UK is my home from home. Myself and CHIC had a brilliant time when we played Scarborough OAT in 2018 and we cannot wait to come back again this summer. It’s going to be another amazing night – so bring your dancing shoes!"
Rodgers and band already have several summer dates on their 2020 itinerary, including a concert at London's Royal Albert Hall this month as part of the Teenage Cancer Trust series. They also play within the grounds of Kenwood House, Hampstead Heath on June 20 as part of the Heritage Live programme, as well as two nights at the Lloyd’s Amphitheatre in Bristol in July.
