Nile Rodgers & CHIC are a funk, soul and disco group from New York.
Formed in 1976 by guitarist Rodgers and bassist Bernard Edwards, they released their self-titled debut album in 1977. They followed with a further six studio records, including ‘C'est Chic’ and ‘Risqué’, which reached the Top Five of the Billboard Hot 200, before they disbanded in 1983. They reformed in 1992, and have remained strong ever since, touring the world extensively and recording a further three albums, the most recent being 2018's 'It's About Time.'
