Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs have released a new song.
Rubbernecker is another experimental, Sabbathian throwback that swings through multiple key changes before a hefty outro. It arrives with a claymation video courtesty of Rafael Bonilla Jr. Singer Matt Baty said:
"The lyrics of Rubbernecker explore feelings of desperation and eroding senses of community in a world that’s seemingly gone completely mad. The central character is the clown, who attempts to detach himself from the world he observes as chaotic and unruly. The more he isolates himself, the more he yearns for kinship but the ever growing forces that reinforce his terror of the outside keep him rooted in his confinement. It’s a sad song really."
It follows previous single Reducer in previewing the Newcastle-based quintet's upcoming third full-length, 'Viscerals', out on April 3.
The band will support the release with tour dates this spring as well as newly announced UK and Ireland shows in November and December. Tickets for the autumn run go on sale at 10am on March 13.
Their previously announced shows in the United States have been called off due to the cancellation of SXSW.
