‘To Feel Alive’ is set to drop this Friday (April 24) via Universal, marking the American-Colombian singer’s first extended release since her last album, 2018’s vibrant ‘Isolation’.
Uchis took to social media to confirm that she recorded the EP at home during this time of self isolation due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. She said:
“[‘To Feel Alive’] will be a 4 song ep i made in a couple days, during quarantine. recorded all of it alone, in my room, bcoz i won’t roll out my real album right now, but wanna give my babies something. nobody needs to listen to it, & i don’t want ANYONE to buy it. thank u.”
The singer also stated that the album art was illustrated by Oh de Laval, and that it makes reference to her debut EP, 2015’s ‘Por Vida’.
The new EP follows Uchis' standalone bilingual single Solita, which arrived in December 2019. She's expected to put out her second studio album later this year, though a release date is yet to be confirmed.
