Gerard Way has shared two previously unreleased demos.
PS Earth and Crate Amp_01 were recorded during the sessions for the My Chemical Romance frontman's 2014 debut solo LP, ‘Hesitant Alien’. The tracks are both scuzzy guitar numbers, and follow four other unreleased recordings that Way shared earlier this month, which he dubbed ‘Distraction Or Despair’.
Discussing PS Earth, he said: “This one was recorded at the tail end of the Hesitant Alien demo sessions, just Doug [McKean - producer] and I. I liked it well enough at the time, felt kind of 90’s, didn’t end up putting any vocals on it though. I like the bridge a lot. Looking back at the whole thing, I like it, but not sure if I’m going to finish it.”
Way is set to head out on a reunion tour with My Chemical Romance this summer, which includes three huge gigs at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes in June. However, it is uncertain if all dates will go ahead as planned due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Keep up to date in real time with Stereoboard.
