Charli XCX has dropped a video for her latest single, Claws.
The clip sees Charli’s imagination run wild as she utilises green screens and a series of shiny, optimistic filters; keeping in line with her y2k aesthetic, she dances in front of a metallic snake, lo-fi rainbows and retro-futuristic shoes and jewellery. Check it out below.
The vivid, glitchy Claws is the second track to be lifted from the synth-pop polymath‘s forthcoming LP, ‘How I’m Feeling Now’, which is expected to arrive on May 15. The new album will follow 2019’s ‘Charli’, and is currently being written, recorded and produced in self-isolation due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Charli XCX is set to support the 1975 at London's Finsbury Park in July, but it is uncertain if the show will go ahead as planned due to COVID-19. Keep up to date in real time with new information via Stereoboard.
