Shirley Collins has announced details of a new album.
‘Heart’s Ease’ is scheduled to arrive on July 24 via Domino, marking the legendary singer-songwriter’s ninth solo LP to date. It will feature the newly released Wondrous Love, a swirling, acoustic folk ballad. Check out the accompanying video below, alongside the record’s tracklist and artwork.
She said:
"I’m still learning songs and just want to keep learning them. I thought ‘somebody has got to sing these songs, so it might as well be me!
“I have such a huge memory of songs, so many of which I still want to sing. And I wasted all those years not singing, so now I’ve got to catch up a bit!"
Collins's last full-length effort came in the form of 2016's 'Lodestar', which marked her first record in 38 years.
