Dream Nails have released a video for their new single, Vagina Police.
The rallying 95-second track, which was originally released back in 2018, unfolds around driving percussion, aggressive guitar tones and caustic lyrics. It stems from the London-based punks' upcoming self-titled debut album, produced by Tarkek Musa of Spring King, out on August 28 through Alcopop! in the UK and Dine Alone in North America.
Describing the song, drummer Lucy Katz said: "It's our battle-cry against the persistent and pathetic-yet-insidious obsession of the state to police our bodies at any cost. It's a song about reproductive rights and (in)justice in all its forms."
Bassist Mimi Jassson added: "From abortions being illegal, to forced sterilization of trans people. We stand in solidarity with our trans siblings in the face of the UK's repression of trans rights."
Vagina Police follows three previously released cuts from the record: Jillian, Text Me Back (Chirpse Degree Burns) and last year's Corporate Realness.
