Travis Scott has released a song from the forthcoming Tenet soundtrack.
Clocking in at just over three minutes, The Plan is set to feature in the upcoming Christopher Nolan film starring John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Clémence Poesy, Himesh Patel and Dimple Kapadia, alongside frequent Nolan collaborators Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh.
Produced by Tenet composer Ludwig Göransson, the track mirrors the edgy, sci-fi vibe of the thriller with sweeping Vangelis-esque synths, electronic beats and robotically distorted vocals.
It arrives alongside the final trailer for the film, after the Texan rapper shared the single’s artwork on August 19. Writing on Twitter, he teased: "FLAME x CHRIS NOLAN COOK UP THE PLAN FRIDAY."
Tenet marks the first film directed by Nolan since 2017’s Dunkirk. It premieres internationally on August 26 , following multiple delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Scott recently revealed in a GQ interview that he’s working on a joint album with Kid Cudi, after the two teamed up for the collaborative track The Scotts earlier this year. It’ll follow up ’Astroworld’, which landed in 2018.
This year, Scott has also appeared on Kanye West's track Wash Us In The Blood and duetted with Rosalía on TKN.
