The kings of the drop have shared Driver, their first original offering since the release of their 2010 album 'Immersion', which hit number one on the UK albums chart. It deals in energising, gritty beats and soaring crescendos, and is a sterling return to form for the Australian band.
The song is one half of a double a-side single, with the other track Nothing For Free set to premiere on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show at 7pm BST today (September 17). One third of the drum and bass trio, Rob Swire said:
“We’ve been working on some new tracks for a while now and it’s great to finally get them out. We’d been playing exclusive previews of some of the new music at shows in Australia and New Zealand before lockdown, and we’ve been making tweaks along the way to make sure they’re right.”
As is the case with many acts, the group's live plans for 2020 have been put on hold due to COVID-19, but 2021 will see them headline a number of events around the world with their new Trinity production, including We Are FSTVL, Ultra Europe, Creamfields, EDC Vegas, Let It Roll, Lowlands and more.
