Pendulum have shared a video for Nothing For Free.
The song is one half of a new double a-side single that marks their first new offering since 2010, when they released their UK number one album 'Immersion'. The other track, Driver, was unveiled yesterday (September 17).
The latest single offers up their trademark boneshaking beats alongside effects-laden vocals from frontman Rob Swire, who said:
"The lyrics to ‘Nothing For Free’ ended up being relevant to what’s been going on in the world, even though it was written before 2020 happened. For the video we focused instead on rabbits in a similar situation to see how it might play out”.
The track's Lewis Cater-directed video was filmed in London with a socially distanced crew and features animation of rabbits experiencing a myxomatosis pandemic that mirrors the current state of the world as it reacts to COVID-19. Press play below.
As has been the case for most bands, Pendulum's live plans for this year were derailed by the coronavirus pandemic, but 2021 will see them headline a number of events with their new Trinity production, including We Are FSTVL, Ultra Europe, Creamfields, EDC Vegas, Let It Roll, Lowlands and more.
