Sinead O'Connor has shared a powerful cover of Trouble Of The World.
Recorded in Belfast with producer David Holmes, the atmospheric, piano-based take on Mahalia Jackson’s track finds the vocalist returning to music with an anti-racism message through hushed but impassioned vocals.
The song arrives alongside news of the vocalist's deal with Heavenly Recordings, and comes with a video directed by DJ, filmmaker and Big Audio Dynamite member Don Letts that features footage from the Black Lives Matter movement. All proceeds from the single will go to the organisation.
Trouble Of The World was originally intended for O'Connor's long-awaited next album, 'No Veteran Dies Alone', which is expected in 2022 she told Rolling Stone. Her last full-length came in the form of 2014's 'I'm Not Bossy, I'm The Boss'.
