Yusuf Cat Stevens Unveils Lost Video For Lady D'Arbanville

Thursday, 05 November 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

Yusuf Cat Stevens has shared an unearthed video for Lady D'Arbanville.

The film accompanies the sparse opening track from the legendary singer-songwriter's 1970 third studio LP, 'Mona Bone Jackon'. The song introduced the world to Stevens' stripped back acoustic sound, following his '60s more poppy material.

Originally recorded 50 years ago, the clip marries together newly remastered audio with footage of Patti D'Arbanville herself. Take a look below.

Additionally, a live BBC recording of the track is available to hear via streaming platforms. It'll appear as one of 24 previously unreleased songs and demos featured on the forthcoming 'Mona Bone Jakon' 50th anniversary super deluxe collector's edition box set, due out on December 4 via UMC/Island Records.

A similar package for 'Tea for the Tillerman', which marks the same milestone this year, will also be released. As part of the celebrations, a re-recorded and reimagined version of the record, 'Tea For The Tillerman²', landed earlier this year.

Stevens will play a rescheduled headline show at Glasgow's Kelvingrove Bandstand in August 2021.

Yusuf Cat Stevens Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Wed August 04 2021 - GLASGOW Kelvingrove Park
