Tori Amos has announced a Christmas EP.

'Christmastide' is scheduled for release on December 4 via Decca Records. The collection will feature four original festive songs, and was recorded with the American singer-songwriter's longtime collaborators, drummer Matt Chamberlain and bassist Jon Evans. In a statement, she said:

"With 'Christmastide' it was important to try and lift people's spirits.

"It's a time of the year that should be joyful with family and friends but can also sadly be a very lonely place for some. Many families will be unable to be together this year because of the pandemic as well as many that are also dealing with the aftermath of a long and bitter US election. I hope these songs contained in this beautiful package can be a small treat to help along the way."

The last album from Amos arrived in the shape of 2017's 'Native Invader'. In May, she put out a memoir titled Resistance: A Songwriter's Story Of Hope, Change And Courage.

'Christmastide' tracklist:

  1. Christmastide
  2. Circle Of Seasons
  3. Holly
  4. Better Angels
