Rag'n'Bone Man has announced his second album.
The follow-up to his number one 2017 debut 'Human' is called 'Life By Misadventure' and will arrive on April 23 through Columbia. He recorded it just before the pandemic with Grammy Award-winning producer and multi-instrumentalist Mike Elizondo at his studio in Nashville.
The record was intentionally tracked like a live album and features contributions from Ben Jackson-Cook (keys, co-songwriter and co-producer of the album), Bill Banwell (bass and co-songwriter), Desri Ramus (backing vocals), Daru Jones (drums) and Wendy Melvoin (guitar). Rag'n'Bone Man said:
"We had quite a time to live with the songs this time around. Too often, how I'd done things before, was that we'd written a song and I had to sing it the same day, and that was the version we'd use on the album. This way, it was far easier to get real emotion into the music."
Alongside news of the album, the singer has shared its artwork, tracklist and first single, All You Ever Wanted, which finds the vocalist departing from his soul and R&B wheelhouse to indulge his indie-rock influences, with the result being an upbeat, earworm track that showcases his gravelly vocals. Watch its accompanying video below.
