Gwen Stefani has released her first single of 2021.
Slow Clap was co-written by the No Doubt vocalist with songwriter/producer Ross Golan and songwriter Luke Niccoli, who also penned her 2020 single Let Me Reintroduce Myself. The latter arrived in December, marking her first new music under her own steam since her 2016 record 'This Is What The Truth Feels Like'.
Similar to its predecessor, the new song mixes pop with reggae and a little hip hop influence, and has an earworm chorus that brings to mind Hollaback Girl from her 2004 debut solo album 'Love. Angel. Music. Baby.'.
