The Killers Announce New Album 'Pressure Machine' And North American Tour

The Killers have announced their seventh studio album.
The follow-up to 2020's 'Imploding The Mirage' is called 'Pressure Machine' and will arrive on August 13 via EMI.
Co-produced by The Killers, Shawn Everett and Foxygen's Jonathan Rado, the record was conceived by the band during the downtime from being unable to tour as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It's influenced by vocalist's Brandon Flowers' childhood experiences of growing up in the small town of Nephi, Utah. He said:
"I discovered this grief that I hadn’t dealt with, many memories of my time in Nephi are tender. But the ones tied to fear or great sadness were emotionally charged. I’ve got more understanding now than when we started the band, and hopefully I was able to do justice to these stories and these lives in this little town that I grew up in."
The Las Vegas group will support the record with a rearranged North American tour in summer 2022, following rescheduled UK and Ireland shows. Original tickets remain valid.
