James Blake Announces New Album 'Friends That Break Your Heart', Posts Finneas Collaboration

James Blake has enlisted Finneas for a collaborative single, Say What You Will.
Filled with soft piano, strings and haunting vocals, the sombre, introspective song marks the first time the super producers have worked together, and Blake's first release since his two 2020 EPs, 'Before' and 'Covers'.
It arrives after the Grammy Award-winner teased the team up on Instagram, sharing a picture of himself standing in front of magazines with Finneas, aka Billie Eilish's brother, on the cover. Blake said:
"The song is about finding peace with who you are and where you’re at regardless of how well other people seem to be doing. Comparison really is the thief of joy."
The song will feature on his newly announced follow-up to 2019's 'Assume Form', 'Friends That Break Your Heart', due out on September 10. The 32-year-old has described it as a "concept album" and worked alongside artist Miles Johnston to create a cover encapsulating the range of emotions experienced by listening to the record.
He'll support it with a 15-date North American tour later in 2021, kicking off on September 16 in San Diego before stops in cities such as Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta, among others. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on July 30.
