Dave Hause has shared details of his fifth solo album, 'Blood Harmony'.
The follow-up to 2019's 'Kick' shares its name with the Philadelphia singer-songwriter's own label and finds him teaming with his younger brother and long-time writing collaborator, Tim, along with members of The E Street Band.
There's also contributions from a host of session musicians known for their work with The Highwomen, Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, Carrie Underwood, Vince Gill, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, and more.
Recorded in spring at Sound Emporium in Nashville with outlaw country artist Will Hoge as producer, the 10-track project is heralded by its first single, Sandy Sheets, a euphoric, breezy combination of piano and guitar with lyrics that recollect summers past. Hause said:
"The New Jersey shore is about ninety minutes from Philadelphia, and it was as much traveling as I had done till I was about 18. I can remember being a teenager there like it was yesterday, falling in and out of love each summer and listening to The Cure. 'Let me remember you when it was easy' felt like a good wish to have. Relationships, friendships, hometowns often end up messy and complicated over time, but there’s something magic about the start. As I get older, I just want to remember the feeling at the beginning, not the end."
The LP will arrive on October 22, with a supporting 20-date UK and European tour following early in 2022. Tickets are on sale now.
