Miles Kane Announces Fourth Album 'Change The Show' With New Track Don't Let It Get You Down

Miles Kane is back with a new song and details of his fourth studio album.
'Change The Show' will arrive on January 21 through BMG and feature lead single Don't Let It Get You Down. Opening with a spoken word sample of TV presenter Paul O'Grady, the energetic number is influenced by the Motown sound and arrives with a James Kelly-directed video that stars both Kane and Emmy Award-nominated actor Jimmi Simpson.
Following on from 2018's 'Coup De Grace', the 11-track record started to take shape following a one-off "no-frills session" with psych-rock band Sunglasses For Jaws at their studio in Hackney, London. Following that spark of creativity, Kane went on to create a record during the COVID-19 lockdown.
"I saw myself in their energy, but also their taste and their knowledge of music,” the Last Shadow Puppets star explained. "It was the first time I'd felt old!"
"This album was born out of an intense period of self-reflection; having all this unexpected time on my hands. I wrote songs about big highs, big lows, daydreams, true friends and deep feelings. I learnt to let the future unfold of its own accord, while staying true to myself and that has led to what feels to me like a really uplifting album!"
The 35-year-old will take to the stage at Coventry's Kasbah on August 27 as part of the National Lottery and Music Venue Trust's Revive Live Tour. After that, he'll appear at CarFest in Hampshire and Victorious Festival in Portsmouth, before a slot at Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington on September 5.
