The bright, disco-leaning pop track will feature in the upcoming 20th Century Studios animated children's film, Ron's Gone Wrong, which is due to hit UK cinemas in October. The 27-year-old said:
"I am such a big fan of Disney, so to be working on this is a dream come true. I can’t wait for you all to hear Sunshine and to see Ron’s Gone Wrong. It has been a lot of fun!”
The movie stars Zach Galifianakis, Jack Dylan Grazer, Olivia Colman, Ed Helms, Justice Smith, Rob Delaney, Kylie Cantrall, Ricardo Hurtado, Marcus Scribner and Thomas Barbusca. Payne also voices a character in the movie. Check out the trailer below.
Sunshine marks the One Direction superstar's first single of 2021, and follows his 2020 Christmas single Naughty List with Dixie D'Amelio. The new song's accompanying video will premiere on YouTube at 4.30pm BST today (August 27).
