Johnny Marr Shares New Track Spirit, Power And Soul, Announces Double Album 'Fever Dreams Pts 1-4'

Johnny Marr has unveiled the first single from a forthcoming double album project.
Unfurling around a driving, electro-soul groove, Spirit, Power And Soul will appear on an upcoming four-track EP, 'Fever Dreams Pt 1', due out on October 15 via BMG.
It'll precede the former Smiths guitarist's double LP called 'Fever Dreams Pts 1-4', which is yet to receive a release date. The record will be Marr's first since 2018’s 'Call The Comet'. He said:
"Spirit, Power And Soul is a kind of mission statement. I had an idea about an electro sound with gospel feeling, in my own words… an electro soul anthem."
The 57-year-old will play a handful of UK shows later in September, ahead of supporting The Courtneeners at their huge gig at Manchester Emirates Old Trafford. He's also set to support The Killers on their US arena tour in 2022.
